Dobson Welcomes Jr High Schools

This evening Michael Markowski was on-location at Dobson High School to provide production support and recording services for the Annual Dobson High School Step-up concert.

The evening featured performances from the Rhodes Jr. High and Hendrix Jr. High Concert Bands as well as an ending performance by Dobson’s own Symphonic Concert Band.

The evening also included a 10 minute video we assembled showcasing moments from Dobson’s 2004 Bands of America performance and last years 25th Anniversary performances.

Over the past few years we have had the pleasure of helping the Dobson High School band with their Annual Step up concert.

This is a great event that gives incoming students an idea of what the Dobson Performing arts is all about. It is also a great way to see how the Dobson program will develop by hearing the talents of these young musicians.

Conan Premiers

Wow, what a great turn out for the first Annual Catch All Film Festival.

When Conan needed a place to debut, Michael Markowski along with Kevin Phipps put together a nice evening’s film festival at the POLLACK TEMPE CINEMAS. The evening was filled with some cool features and short surprises. All in all an enjoyable evening.

To my surprise, the Conan musical came out better then I imagined. It’s always fun to see how a project can come together when there are many elements that are unknown from the recording point of view.

Fundraising for Arizona Music Festival

This evening Dan along with Amber provided sound reienforcement for Arizona Music Festivals Anual Fund Raiser. Sound Reienforcement????? Yup, evey now and again we do live sound, but only for sepceial events. And what could be more special then our good friend Bob Moody taking the mic and entertaining the audience with a bad joke and a few musical numbers.

The evening was a great success with over 300 patrons attending.

Mixing Conan Day 2

Back again with Conan.....

This evening Dan and Mike continued working on mixing for the Conan musical. 186 Tracks take time and patience, and more time....there never seems to be enough time.

We got some tracks printed although neither of us are loving them. Chances are we will spend some time next week going over the mixes again and working on them in more detail before the premiere.

Mixing Conan Day 1

Ok, at this point I think we are all tired of this project. It can get rather difficult to listen to the same 15 minutes of music over and over.

This evening Dan and Mike went over the conan tracks getting levels set and preparing for some final mixing on Thursday.
